EUROPEAN ALL-STAR GAME?: MUNDO DEPORTIVO reported NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said on Wednesday that the league is "considering the possibility that, in the future, the All-Star Game could be held in Europe." Silver clarified that "for this to become a reality, it would have to fit on the calendar." He said, "An All-Star Game in Europe is something we are considering. But our schedules our very compact and we need to look and see if we can find a way to travel to Europe and return to the United States with enough time and without it affecting the calendar." Silver also referred to "a topic that has recently come up at NBA offices: the possibility of Europe-based franchises competing in the NBA." He said that this would be "difficult to organize, especially because of the risk of injury" with so many transatlantic flights (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 10/5).
