League Notes: Int'l Cricket Council Board To Consider Revised Constitution For USACA

The Int'l Cricket Council confirmed that a revised constitution for the USA Cricket Association will go to the ICC Board for consideration later this month. Following the suspension of USACA earlier this year, the ICC has been working with the U.S. cricket community to unify the sport under a common revised constitution as part of the continuing efforts toward reinstatement of USACA. An advisory group comprising representatives from across the cricketing family in the U.S. has been working for a number of months on developing a draft constitution that will provide cricket in the U.S. with a sustainable foundation and which reflects best practice in American sport (ICC).

The World Anti-Doping Agency and Interpol "have set up a joint project aimed at targeting criminal networks specialized in doping substances." WADA and the world's largest int'l police organization said they want to "identify connections between organized crime and the trafficking of banned performance-enhancing substances including anabolic steroids, growth hormones, peptides and EPO in sport" (AP, 10/4).
