Olympique De Marseille Officially Unveils Orange Vélodrome

The new name of Olympique de Marseille’s Vélodrome was officially launched on Sunday, “it is now the Orange Vélodrome for the next 10 years,” according to Ghislaine Milliet of FRANCE3. Stadium owners Arema and the city of Marseille “signed a naming partnership with telecom Orange in June.” The financials of the agreement “have remained a secret,” but Orange has “invested heavily” in the stadium’s digital infrastructure. With more than 20 WiFi and 4G terminals, Orange Vélodrome is now “one of the most connected stadiums in Europe” (FRANCE3, 10/2).
