MP & Silva CEO
MARCO AULETTA has decided to resign from his position at the end of this week to take on new business ventures. The 46-year-old Italian spent almost 10 years with the sports media agency. He joined MP & Silva in '07, first as VP of acquisitions, before being appointed CEO in '09. During his time, the company has grown from one office to 20 worldwide. Auletta played an important role in establishing MP & Sliva's strategic partnership with Baofeng and Everbright earlier this year. The two Chinese companies acquired a 65% stake in the agency in May. The remaining 35% stayed with MP & Silva's previous shareholders. Auletta told SBD Global that he is currently weighing up different opportunities for his next career move. "For me personally, it was the right moment to step back and do something else, a new challenge after almost 10 years," he said. Auletta, who will keep his stake in the company, made clear that he will not pursue any position with a company that is in direct competition with MP & Silva. "I will keep a small stake in the company," Auletta said. "This is to remain linked to the company, and support the company when needed." Auletta is confident the debt-free company will continue to grow by optimizing its business across the various sectors. The partnership with Baofeng and Everbright has opened new doors for the agency, especially in China, he said. MP & Silva will appoint a new CEO in due course.
