Franchise Notes: Rangers Manager Warburton Gets One-Match Ban For Outburst At Referee

Scottish Premiership side Rangers Manager Mark Warburton "has been offered a one-match touchline ban" by the Scottish FA after the Rangers boss "was cited for his outburst at referee John Beaton following the conclusion of Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Aberdeen." Warburton "was furious after Beaton adjudged James Tavernier to have fouled Jonny Hayes." The Rangers manager "took to the field after the full-time whistle to remonstrate with Beaton, and has now been disciplined by the SFA for his actions" (SCOTSMAN, 9/28).

The Taste of Anfield is officially "Lamb Shanks." The flavor was entered into the Taste of Anfield competition by Liverpool supporter Stephen Williams, who will see his winning pie on sale at Anfield this season. Williams submitted his favorite flavor when the club embarked on a nationwide search to find a new pie filling to mark the opening of LFC’s redeveloped Main Stand (Liverpool).
