League Notes: BCCI President Rules Out Pink-Ball Tests This Season

Board of Control for Cricket in India President Anurag Thakur said that the pink ball "will not be used in Test cricket this home season." Thakur "put to rest speculation on India hosting its first ever day-night Test in the long home season comprising 13 Tests which will go up to February-March." He said that "more experiments like the one in Duleep Trophy were needed before BCCI takes the final call on introducing the pink ball in Tests." Thakur: "I think we need to look into many areas before we take the final call" (PTI, 9/27).

The NBA and Spanish restaurant group AN Grup opened the first NBA Cafe in Europe in Barcelona. The NBA Cafe Barcelona was designed by Spanish interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán and covers 1,200 square meters. Set over three floors, it features a range of NBA imagery, memorabilia and merchandise, all complemented by a menu offering American bar and grill food along with local and Mediterranean dishes (NBA).
