Marketplace Roundup: Two Brazilian Clubs Sign Deal With State-Owned Bank Caixa

Brasileiro sides Botafogo and Fluminense have "signed agreements with banking group Caixa, which will see the firm become the front-of-shirt sponsor for both teams." No financial details have yet been released, "although both agreements are reported to run an initial single season." Caixa, a Brazilian state-owned bank, is currently a partner of rivals Flamengo and Vasco de Gama (SOCCEREX, 9/22).

TWO-MATCH DEAL: Serie A side Torino announced that it will "wear the logo of Milan-based meat products manufacturer Salumificio Fratelli Beretta" on its player shirt for two matches. Beretta, which is currently the major partner of Torino's academy teams, "had previously been the main front-of-shirt sponsor of the club" until '13, when it was replaced by current sponsor Suzuki (SOCCEREX, 9/22).

SHOW THEM THE DOOR: German door supplier Hörmann is to become a premium sponsor of the Int'l Biathlon Union World Cup and the World Championships Biathlon from the '16-17 season. The agreement was brokered by Infront Sports & Media. The rights package includes an advertising presence in the stadium, along the track and at the shooting range as well as on the athletes' starting bibs. Hörmann will further benefit from brand exposure across all official print materials, on the IBU website as well as in onsite video spots. The sponsorship package is rounded out by a hospitality contingent and other advertising and promotional rights (Infront). The door producer will pay an estimated €1.5M ($1.7M) annually for the rights (SPONSORs, 9/22).
