Tabcorp Signs Deal To Become UFC's Official Betting & Wagering Partner In Australia

UFC on Tuesday signed a multi-year partnership with Australian gambling company Tabcorp. As part of the deal, TAB.com.au, Tabcorp’s national brand, will become the official betting and wagering partner of UFC in Australia. TAB.com.au will also become the presenting sponsor of UFC events in the country. The partnership will take effect at UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Jacare 2 on Nov. 27 at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena. UFC did not reveal any financial details of the agreement. The TAB.com.au logo will be featured inside the Octagon and on the fight kits of all athletes competing in UFC events in Australia. The betting company will also receive a presence on UFC.com and live-event programming, as well as across UFC’s social and digital platforms. Tabcorp is UFC's second Australia-specific partner after Hudson Shipping Lines, a UFC spokesperson told SBD Global.

ADDING ON: UFC also signed a 10-year partnership with the Fitspiration Philippines Corp. to open 30 UFC Gym locations throughout the Philippines. The first one is scheduled to open in early '17 and will be located in the Glorietta, Makati City section of Manilla. FPS is a new entity comprised of key players in the Philippine fitness industry, the press release stated. Since its creation in '09, UFC Gym has opened more than 135 locations worldwide, with at least 50 more expected to open in the next year.
