Paralympics Sponsor Otto Bock Calls For Resignation Of IOC President Thomas Bach

The CEO of German prosthetics company Otto Bock "has called for the resignation of IOC President Thomas Bach," according to Lorenz Maroldt of the TAGESSPIEGEL. Otto Bock CEO Hans Georg Näder has criticized Bach's handling of doping and corruption. He said, "Bach is embarrassing Germany and severely damages the Olympic movement through his behavior because he does not have a clear position regarding corruption within the IOC and doping." Näder also accuses Bach of "paying no attention to the Paralympics." Otto Bock recently renewed its contract with the Int'l Paralympic Committee until '20. The company is the official technical service provider of the Paralympics and has been an IPC partner since '05 (TAGESSPIEGEL, 9/14).
