AS Roma President James Pallotta Hopeful New Stadium Will Open In '19

Serie A side AS Roma President James Pallotta is "very, very confident" over the new stadium, and "hopes to open it" in '19, according to FOOTBALL ITALIA. Pallotta had a meeting with Lazio Region President Nicola Zingaretti, and believes "there has been progress toward breaking ground on the Stadio della Roma." He said, "I want to thank President Zingaretti, as I expected it was a good meeting. Rome as a city and Roma as a team needs something like this. There will be an open and transparent process as we promised. ... I’m as excited as ever about the possibility of Roma having this stadium, and I hope that in 2019 we can sit together at the opening" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 9/13).
