The Rugby Football Union Nominations Committee unanimously proposed ANDY COSSLETT to be the next chair of the board of the RFU. JOHN LANGFORD has been appointed VP and GM of The 02, taking up the position on Nov. 1. Langford joins the venue following three years in the position of director of live entertainment at The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Center in Glasgow, including The SSE Hydro arena. Langford will be responsible for the overall operational management, commercial delivery, event booking and content creation at the London venue. COACHES/MANAGERS: Eight months after joining Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais “as an advisor to President RENÉ RUELLO,” coach-consultant ROLLAND COURBIS has left his position with the club. Courbis said that he believes his “supervision of the integration” of CHRISTIAN GOUCUFF as manager is complete, and he “has no reason to stay.” Courbis said, “I can pursue a new challenge, in France or abroad, I don’t know. But I do not want my career to end” (20 MINUTES, 9/12). ... FILO TIATIA was named the new coach of Super Rugby side Sunwolves on Monday, "agreeing to a two-year contract." The 45-year old former All Black replaces MARK HAMMETT, "who he was an assistant to during the Sunwolves' inaugural campaign last season, in which they got one win, one draw and had 13 losses."
