Nairo Quintana and Movistar will continue their partnership until at least '19 after "both rider and sponsor signed extensions with the Spanish team." Quintana, "fresh from winning the Vuelta a España, and teammate Alejandro Valverde" announced they had both agreed to new deals. Title sponsor Movistar, part of Spanish telecom Telefonica, "also renewed its partnership with Abarca Sports to ensure the team continues to wear the big green M on their jersey for the next three seasons" (CYCLING WEEKLY, 9/12).

AMV BBDO was recognized twice for Rugby World Cup ads for Guinness, including "Never alone." The film "tells the story of how Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas came out to his teammates." The second spot is narrated by former South Africa rugby player Ashwin Willemse, "who explains how the sport saved him from a troubled childhood" (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 9/12).
