Williams F1 has recruited former Ferrari Tire Performance Head ANTONIO SPAGNOLO to "help analyze their Formula One rivals' strengths." Spagnolo, who joined the Italian team in '05 and left in February, also worked with '07 world champion KIMI RÄIKKÖNEN and double world champion FERNANDO ALONSO as an engineer. He will link up again with Williams Head of Performance Engineering ROB SMEDLEY, who worked at Ferrari for a decade until '14 (REUTERS, 9/9). ... Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) club s.Oliver Würzburg appointed GUNARS BALODIS as co-managing director. The 53-year-old started his position on Sept. 1. Balodis will be in charge of marketing, personell and basketball organisation. He joins STEFFEN LIEBLER as co-managing director (s.Oliver Würzburg).
