Eleven Enters Belgian Pro League TV Rights Debate With 'Innovative' Proposal

London-based telecom Eleven has entered the Belgian Pro League TV rights renewal talks with a “competitive and innovative broadcast offer for the country’s top-tier football competition,” according to Philippe Dewitte of LA MEUSE. Eleven, “which never ceases to accumulate contracts (Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1, NFL, NBA, etc.), wants to add the Belgian league to its offer.” The Division 1A rights are “currently held by MP & Silva.” The ’14-17 rights were sold by MP&Silva and the Pro League to VOO, Telenet and Proximus, and “it is the contract for the next three seasons that is now at stake.” Eleven’s resources “should allow it to achieve its goal.” That would mean a “substantial increase in revenue for clubs” (LA MEUSE, 9/7).
