Paris St. Germain Renews Qatar Tourism Authority Partnership With $197M Deal

After an initial four-year contract that ended June 30, Paris St. Germain and the Qatar Tourism Authority have “agreed to continue the partnership,” according to Ronan Folgoas of LE PARISIEN. A source close to the club said, “The contract has not yet been signed. There still remains some regularizing. But there are no longer any obstacles and everything should be settled in the coming weeks.” QTA is reportedly ready to pay around €175M ($197M) “for this season.” It will be the largest sponsorship deal for club revenues “by far.” The QTA partnership will represent 30% of the ’16-17 season’s provisional budget. As part of the partnership, the club will “allow access to its image and several players” to promote Qatar as a tourism destination. The current contract “will be submitted to UEFA in October for review” (LE PARISIEN, 8/24).

BOSS LOOK: Suit maker Hugo Boss and PSG announced they have renewed their partnership for the next two seasons. Since '14, Hugo Boss has been the official tailor of PSG. As part of the agreement, PSG players, coaches and assistants will all wear Hugo Boss suits during their official appearances for home matches in Ligue 1 and the Champions League (PSG).
