Rodale named Nike North America Digital Brand Dir JESSICA MURPHY managing director for its Runner's World publication (Rodale). ... DEE BRADBURY was voted in as VP of the Scottish Rugby Union, "meaning she will become the governing body's first female president in two years' time." She will take over in '18 when current President ROB FLOCKHART "steps down." Bradbury is a former player "and the mother of Edinburgh breakaway MAGNUS BRADBURY" (SCOTSMAN, 8/20). ... BBC Worldwide Poland promoted ZBIGNIEW PRUSKI to head of affiliate sales and appointed MICHAL GILARSKI to affiliate sales exec. Pruski "joined BBC Worldwide in 2011 and has since looked after growing its channel business in Poland, including the global launch of BBC Brit and BBC Earth last year." Gilarski "previously worked at Viacom International Media Networks" (BROADBAND TV NEWS, 8/19).

COACHES/MANAGERS: After only three months in the job, former Iran head coach AFSHIN GHOTBI "has been sacked" by Premier League of Thailand club Buriram United. Ghotbi was "only appointed in May, taking over from ALEXANDRE GAMA." The 52-year-old Iranian American "brought a glittering Asian resume to Thailand, having worked alongside GUUS HIDDINK at South Korea last decade." He had three successful years "in charge of J.League giants Shimuzu S-Pulse and also managed Iranian glamour club, Persepolis" (ESPN.com, 8/21). ... Bulgarian football side CSKA Sofia Manager HRISTO YANEV "resigned on Sunday after only four matches, saying a change was needed to turn round" the club's fortunes. CSKA has "made a shaky start to the new season." Bulgarian media has "touted CSKA and Bulgaria former coach LUBOSLAV PENEV as Yanev's likely replacement" (REUTERS, 8/21).
