Marketplace Roundup: Serie A Side Fiorentina Partners With Vorwerk Folletto

Serie A side Fiorentina named cleaning products manufacturer Vorwerk Folletto its new shirt sponsor.  The agreement, reported by La Repubblica to be worth €11M ($12.4M) in total, will run for three years until the end of the '18-19 season. The branding on the club's violet shirts "will sporadically change, sometimes displaying the company’s Vorwerk logo, and at other times its Folletto brand" (SOCCEREX, 8/19).

WEST BROM BETS ON CORAL: EPL side West Bromwich Albion secured Coral as the club's official European betting partner. The three-year agreement will see the British betting brand featured on various advertising sites at The Hawthorns stadium, including interview backdrop and pitchside. In addition, the partnership will see the launch of the "Coral Player of the Month Award." This will be a fan-voted monthly award (West Bromwich).

EXETER SIGNS GOODRIDGE: Premiership rugby side Exeter Chiefs signed a sponsorship deal with fluid transfer system manufacturer Goodridge. The Goodridge logo will appear on the sleeve of all Chiefs playing and replica kit (Exeter Chiefs).

FIVE MORE YEARS: The South African Premier Soccer League announced it reached an agreement with telecom MTN for an extension of the sponsorship of the MTN8. The new deal between PSL and MTN will run through '22. The PSL also confirmed that the '16-17 edition of the tournament will start on Friday (SOCCER LADUMA, 8/17).

MARKETING BRIEFS ...
Bundesliga side Hamburg SV agreed to a partnership with Zimbo to become the club's official sausage partner. The brand is part of Swiss meat producer Bell (Hamburg SV).
