Semifinal Tennis Match Between Nadal, Del Potro Draws Nearly 2 Million On Spain's La 1

Spanish broadcaster TVE's La 1 drew nearly 2 million viewers for Saturday's semifinal tennis match between Rafael Nadal and Juan Martín Del Potro, which translated to a market share of 23.4%, according to the EP. La 1's coverage throughout the day attracted a market share of 13.4%, the highest figure among Spanish networks. Teledeporte broke its own record with a market share of 7.6% on the day, including 2.25 million viewers for its tennis coverage. It drew a peak audience with 2.99 million viewers at 10:18pm local time during the Nadal-Del Potro match, which Del Potro won to advance to the finals. The Spanish basketball team's win over Lithuania drew 1.33 million viewers -- a market share of 19.1% (EP, 8/14).
