Marketplace Roundup: La Liga Signs Spanish Tourism Group Globalia As Official Sponsor

Spanish tourism group Globalia has become an official La Liga sponsor. The group's airline, Air Europa, and travel agent, Halcon Viajes, will act as official sponsors of La Liga and its second division via several media channels. The sponsorship deal, under which Globalia has exclusive access to Spain's domestic airline and travel agent markets, is for the '16-17 season and kicks off on Aug. 19 (La Liga). 

MAN CITY BETS: Online sportsbook Tempobet has signed a deal to become an official betting partner of Man City "in the Asia-Pacific region." The agreement "confers official regional betting partner on the brand." It will allow the use of the club's crest on Tempobet's website and give it "access to a number of players for a forthcoming television commercial and photoshoot" (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 8/12). 

EVERTON GAMING: Everton signed an agreement with Sega and Sports Interactive for Football Manager to become the club's latest partner. Football Manager branding will feature on key assets such as LED boards and interview backdrops at Goodison Park and Finch Farm. Football Manager will also collaborate with the club on creating exclusive Everton content (Everton).

Leicester City
 announced global sport betting company 12BET as an official betting partner for the '16-17 season (Leicester City). 

Bundesliga club SV Darmstadt signed a new sponsorship deal with health insurance provider Barmer GEK. The company will become the club's official health partner. As a fourth-tier partner, Barmer GEK will receive logo presence on LED boards. The length and financial terms of the deal were not revealed (SV Darmstadt).

Second Bundesliga club FC St. Pauli renewed its contract with media partner Alsterradio. The private radio station will continue its partnership with the club for two years until the end of the '17-18 season. Alsterradio has been St. Pauli's media partner since '06 (St. Pauli).
