EPL Side Hull City Fans Write 'Allam Out' On Walls Of KCOM Stadium

On the opening day of the Premier League season, Hull City staff "were pictured cleaning 'Allam Out' graffiti from the walls" of KCOM Stadium and fans "staged a protest" against club Owner Assem Allam, according to Ben Nagle of the London DAILY MAIL. The managerless Tigers "were thought to be in disarray with only 13 fit senior players" going into the team's first match against Leicester City, and many supporters "have had enough" of the Allam regime. Hull, however, "managed to defy the odds" by winning 2-1. It was "clear for all to see" that Hull wants a change in ownership on the first day of the season. With "just hours to go before their return to the top flight, staff were desperately trying to rid the stadium walls of graffiti" using high-powered pressure washers. Program stalls "were also targeted with the slogan," threatening to put Hull City in an "embarrassing position" with 25,000 supporters set to descend on the stadium on Saturday at lunchtime. And sections of Hull's support "stuck to their word by displaying their unrest at the current hierarchy before and during the Premier League opener." Posters saying "Allam Out" and "No" were held up "in protest of the Egyptian." The club has "been up for sale" since '14 after the FA turned down Allam's request to a change of name to Hull Tigers (DAILY MAIL, 8/13).
