Gary Neville Secures $390,000 Pay Rise As He Returns To Sky

Gary Neville secured a £300,000 ($390,300) pay rise on his return to Sky "despite the damage done to his credibility as a pundit by his nightmare season with Valencia and England," according to Charles Sale of the London DAILY MAIL. Neville is understood to be earning £1.5M ($1.9M) a year "for making a minimum of 40 appearances across Sky’s Premier League programming, as well as doing extra duties for the network." This compares with the £1.2M ($1.5M) Neville earned at Sky "last time around." The new agreement "does not allow him to work for other networks, unlike Thierry Henry, Sky’s highest-paid pundit, who also worked for BBC Sport during Euro 2016" (DAILY MAIL, 8/9).
