Ligue 2 Side Reims Set To Play First Match In Renovated Home Stadium

Ligue 2 side Stade de Reims will play its first home match of the season on Friday against Bourg-Péronnas in a “renovated Stade Delaune set to grow the club and city,” according to Alexandre Audabram of FRANCE BLEU. The work that started in May was “finally finished at the end of July.” The pitch, amenities and two giant screens will “change the stadium’s look.” The “next generation” semi-synthetic pitch was installed by Grass Master, a “little known brand in the public that has become common in French football.” Grass Master has equipped a number of European stadiums, “including Paris’ Parc des Princes.” A large carpet was also installed surrounding the pitch, “adding an aesthetic to the stadium with logos from the club and city in front of the stands.” The two new screens measure 46 square meters “and each are located in separate corners of the stadium” (FRANCE BLEU, 8/4).
