Finance Notes: Cristiano Ronaldo To Open New CR7-Branded Hotel In Lisbon

After the opening of the first CR7 hotel in Madeira capital Funchal at the start of last month, Lisbon "will inaugurate a second hotel" as part of the Cristiano Ronaldo brand on Aug. 16. Permission has been granted for the opening of Pestana CR7 Lisboa Hotel, "which will be situated in the centrally-located Rua da Prata, close to Lisbon Bay." It will "boast 82 rooms and one suite," with prices ranging from €250 ($280) to €1,250 ($1,403) (the latter for the suite). The brand is co-owned by Ronaldo and Pestana Group President Dionísio Pestana, but "management is handled entirely by the hotel chain" (EFE, 8/1).

DELTATRE SOLD: Gateley Plc.'s Leeds office has "completed the sale of sports media service company deltatre" to U.S.-based private investment firm Bruin Sports Capital. Led by corporate partner David Armitage, the multi-disciplinary team "advised LMGR s.r.l on the sale of its controlling stake in deltatre." Deltatre co-Founder Giampiero Rinaudo "will remain in his position as CEO of the deltatre group" (BDAILY, 8/1).
