Paris St. Germain Sponsors Taking Advantage Of American Tour To Create Content

For its “Paris Loves US” American tour, Paris St. Germain has been “playing the sponsors game,” according to Alexandre Bailleul of SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS. Budweiser, EA Sports and tire brand Achilles are profiting from the players being in the U.S. by “producing content and using the opportunity to activate marketing campaigns.” With its new three-year deal signed with Budweiser, four PSG players were invited onto a boat in L.A. to “sell the American dream.” Achilles also enlisted PSG players to “help film a video with 2013 Drifting World Champion Michael Essa.” EA Sports invited David Luiz and Layvin Kurzawa to the YouTube Space in L.A. to “test the new FIFA 17 video game.” Outside of its sponsors’ activations, the club used its American tour to “unveil its new away jersey and lifestyle brand” (SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS, 8/1).
