Board Of Control For Cricket In India To Discuss T20 Series In The States

The Board of Control for Cricket in India "has convened a working committee meeting in Mumbai" on Aug. 2 to discuss the West Indies Cricket Board's proposal for a T20 series in the U.S. soon after the conclusion of the ongoing Test series, according to THE HINDU. The WICB and BCCI execs "have been in discussions about two T20 matches in Florida during the week following next month’s fourth Test." Besides ICC’s clearance -- since the U.S. cricket body is suspended -- the tour "had faced logistical hurdles, including visas for the Indian players." However, a BCCI insider revealed that it "has got an informal assurance from the authorities concerned that the visas will be processed in time" (THE HINDU, 7/30).
