Chinese Investors Ask For More Time In Purchase Of Serie A Side AC Milan

Chinese investors "have asked for yet another extension as they want 15 more days" before buying Serie A side AC Milan, according to FOOTBALL ITALIA. The news "will hardly come as a shock to the Rossoneri fans, who have seen the operation continuously said to be at the final stages, only for it to be delayed month after month." According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Chinese investors themselves "have delayed the purchase of the Italian club by requesting for another two weeks." Apparently this is due "to the pending resolution of some bureaucratic issues involved in the sale." One of these issues "has to do with reshaping the structure of the club, and another with the legal authorisations to be obtained in China for exporting capital abroad." The potential buyers "have explained that moving such a large sum of money from a country like theirs is an operation that takes time." It's worth noting, however, that the purchase of Inter by the Chinese Suning group "was completed in a matter of weeks" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 7/27).
