Tottenham's Stadium Work Begins With White Hart Lane Partial Demolition

White Hart Lane has been "partially demolished ahead of the building of Tottenham's new stadium," according to Aaron Flanagan of the London DAILY MIRROR. Work has already started on the club's new home, "which will sit on the same road as the current 36,000-capacity ground." Tottenham is aiming to move into the new luxury 61,000-seat stadium for the start of the '18-19 season but "will remain at White Hart Lane for domestic fixtures next season." Known as the Northumberland Development Project, the stadium project also includes a hotel, sports center, health center, homes and a Tottenham Experience, "housing a museum and club superstore." The ongoing construction works "mean that Tottenham will play next season's Champions League fixtures at Wembley as part of a short-term deal" (DAILY MIRROR, 7/13).
