La Liga Presents New Broadcast Technology, Including Aerial Cameras At Seven Stadiums

La Liga on Monday presented to int'l broadcasters its "innovative technology" to make it, as President Javier Tebas said, "the best, not only on the playing field but also on TV," according to MUNDO DEPORTIVO. Tebas "revealed the broadcasting regulations from '16-19, which will force clubs to adapt their stadiums." This season, seven stadiums will have aerial cameras that "will allow games to be seen from a bird's-eye view." Tebas said that in future years, "this technology will be present at all stadiums." Barcelona and Real Madrid home games will feature 360-degree replays, and that technology will be used by five teams in '17-18. This year, "one game every matchday will be broadcast in 4K, and in future seasons, there will be three games per matchday carried in 4K" (MUNDO DEPORTIVO, 7/5).
