Media Notes: M6 Offers €200,000 Advertising Spots During France Vs. Iceland Euro 2016 Match

For the France vs. Iceland Euro 2016 quarterfinals match M6 “offered (30 second) advertising spots at halftime” for €200,000 ($223,000). In the “case of extra time,” the price of the spot was raised to €220,000 ($245,300). For beIN Sports, the publicity spot was worth €35,000 ($39,000) “for halftime and post-match.” If the French national team makes the final, the spot on beIN Sports will be worth €50,000 ($55,750) and €270,000 ($301,000) on M6. On M6, if there is extra time the price is raised to €320,000 ($356,800) (SPORTBUZZ BUSINESS, 7/1).

ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS: European Athletics announced broadcast intentions have been received for the Amsterdam 2016 European Athletics Championships. With two days to go, broadcasters in at least 32 European countries have submitted intentions for the 23rd edition of the championships. In addition, pan-European channel Eurosport plans to show the majority of the championships live across its 54 territories. According to the latest figures received by European Athletics, there will be more than 900 hours of TV coverage over the five days of the championships, including more than 800 hours of live coverage (European Athletics).

Eleven Sports Network
announced a multi-year agreement with MP & Silva to bring live and exclusive coverage of the EPL to fans in Taiwan. From the beginning of the '16-17 season, football fans will receive more than six games per week (Eleven Sports Network).

German media company ProSiebenSat.1 is bundling its sports business under the new umbrella brand 7Sports. ProSiebenSat.1 increased its sports portfolio with the acquisition of Sportdeutschland.tv, 90min.com and Eversport.tv. The goal of the new company is to take advantage of the synergies between the individual sports segments (ProSiebenSat.1).
