League Notes: Leaders Launches Leaders Performance Institute

Events, media and publishing company Leaders, in which SportsBusiness Journal/Daily/Global parent American City Business Journals has an equity investment, has launched the Leaders Performance Institute. The Leaders Performance Institute connects, inspires and educates the global performance community in sport and beyond via events, insight, research and professional development programs. The Institute's fundamental purpose is to challenge and evolve the thinking of performance practitioners globally. The Institute continues to run the Leaders Sport Performance Summit series with editions in L.A., N.Y. and London -- an additional U.S. location will be announced for '17 (Leaders). 

The Indian cricket board's cricket advisory committee (CAC), comprising former batsmen Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and V.V.S. Laxman, are "all set to interview" the 21 candidates who have applied to be the head coach of the national team. Former Board of Control for Cricket in India Secretary Sanjay Jagdale "will be overseeing the proceedings and those who cannot be present" will have a choice of getting their interview done via video conferencing. The panel has "also been given the liberty to decide if it wants to interview someone else not among the 21 names that have popped up" (IANS, 6/20).
