Everton Chair Bill Kenwright Reveals Club Owner's Champions League, Stadium Plans

Premier League side Everton majority investor Farhad Moshiri "has a Blues vision which includes Champions League football and a new stadium," according to David Prentice of the LIVERPOOL ECHO. The billionaire bought a 49.9% stake in Everton in February. Club Chair Bill Kenwright "has revealed some of the Iranian's ambitions." He said, "Farhad absolutely has a vision for this football club. It involves the Champions League and a new stadium. Is he going Roman Abramovic? No, I think that model is sort of gone, but he absolutely looks at Everton as his big adventure." Part of Moshiri's plan for the Blues "includes appointing a director of football." Kenwright: "What I have picked up in the last four weeks is it is an important role and if done right it can add to a football club" (LIVERPOOL ECHO, 6/20).
