More Than 11 Million Tune In To Watch ARD's Euro 2016 Coverage

German public broadcaster ARD "recorded a peak audience of more than 11 million viewers for its Euro 2016 coverage on Saturday," according to Daniel Sallhoff of QUOTENMETER. The game between Portugal and Austria, which started at 9pm, attracted 11.29 million viewers. The number translated into a market share of 38.9%. In the target demographic 14-49, the goalless draw obtained a 43.2% share as 4.22 million viewers tuned in. The day's other games between Belgium and Ireland as well as Iceland against Hungary also drew top ratings. The games had viewership figures of 5.43 million and 7.83 million, respectively. In the target demo, the games obtained respective market shares of 35.3% and 42.8% (QUOTENMETER, 6/19).
