Liverpool Confident Anfield Renovation Will Be Finished In Time For First Home Game

Liverpool is confident that its Main Stand renovations "will be complete in time to host Burnley" in its first home match of next season, according to the PA. Contingencies "had been put in place months ago, with outline plans to request the game on August 20, now confirmed as being against Burnley, be played away from home in the event final building work was not completed." Anfield "can be ready to host the match on the second weekend of the season."
