JOANNE BUDD has been appointed head of PR and media relations at EPL side Crystal Palace. Budd joins from the FA, where she has been head of media operations for more than seven years. Budd spent two decades with the FA, with previous stints as its communications coordinator, internal and external affairs coordinator and as its public affairs administrator. Budd is "no stranger" to Crystal Palace, having been PA to former Eagles Managers STEVE COPPELL and ALAN SMITH in the '80s and '90s (PR WEEK, 6/13). ... Liga MX side Chivas Guadalajara confirmed the departure of Sporting Dir JAIME ORDIALES. The club said in a statement, "The club appreciates the determination and professionalism with which Jaime Ordiales worked to achieve the organization's goals" (LA AFICIÓN, 6/14). ... The Int'l Equestrian Federation (FEI) is restructuring key positions within its sports departments across both the Olympic and non-Olympic disciplines. BETTINA DE RHAM will take over as director of the dressage and para-equestrian dressage department at the FEI. De Rahm, who has been with the FEI since June '08, will remain in charge of the vaulting and reining disciplines, and will add dressage and para-equestrian dressage to her portfolio after the Rio Paralympic Games (FEI). ... FA CFO MARTIN STEWART will leave the organization to take up a full-time position as CEO of Dubai-based satellite TV provider OSN. Stewart joined the FA in January, having previously held a non-exec role on the OSN board which he retained among various directorships. He will officially leave his position at Wembley at the FA Board meeting in July after overseeing the transition with the FA's in-house financial team. MARK BURROWS, who also worked alongside FA CEO MARTIN GLENN for seven years at Iglo, is to step up to become interim CFO for the remainder of the year (FA).
KOEMAN JOINS EVERTON: RONALD KOEMAN "was finally confirmed as Everton's manager." Koeman has signed a three-year contract, worth £6M ($8.5M) per season, "and he will be given the biggest transfer kitty in Everton's history" to revamp a squad that "failed to fulfil its potential" under ROBERTO MARTINEZ. Everton spoke to "a number of other candidates" -- including former Man City Manager MANUEL PELLEGRINI, DAVID MOYES and ex-Ajax Manager FRANK DE BOER. The main rival to Koeman was UNAI EMERY (London DAILY MAIL, 6/14).
COACHES/MANAGERS: Spanish second division side Levante and JUAN RAMÓN LÓPEZ MUÑIZ reached an agreement for him to coach the club next season, with "an option for another season in case Levante secures promotion to La Liga." Muñiz "faces the challenge" with ÁLVARO REINA as his top assistant (SUPERDEPORTE, 6/14). ... Serie A side Atalanta "officially confirmed the appointment of GIAN PIERO GASPERINI" as its new coach. The 58-year-old terminated his contract with Genoa at the end of the season, with the Grifone having "made other choices." It was reported at the time that "he had signed a pre-contract agreement with Atalanta," and that has been confirmed (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 6/14). ... DUNGA has been sacked from his position as Brazil manager after a "disastrous Copa America Centenario." His team was eliminated from the tournament in the group stage after drawing with Ecuador and losing to Peru, either side of a 7-1 victory over Haiti, "which proved irrelevant." He is expected to be replaced by Brasileiro side Corinthians Manager TITE, who will take charge of the side at the upcoming Olympics (DAILY MAIL, 6/14).
