Marketplace Roundup: NordicBet Signs Main Sponsorship Deal With Swedish Hockey League

Betsson’s NordicBet has signed "an exclusive deal to become the main sponsor and official betting partner of the Swedish Hockey League." The partnership with the SHL, "which is ranked the third best league in the world, will allow NordicBet to offer customers additional value." This includes content through "unique access to teams and players, real-time game stats and highlights, live streaming of all games, new products and offers, as well as meet and greets with SHL players and coaches" (GAMING INTELLIGENCE, 6/13).

WELSH PARTNERS: Welsh pensions and investment specialist and long term commercial partner WPS Financial Group has reaffirmed its commitment to Welsh Rugby Union side Ospreys, agreeing to a new deal to have its logo on the '16-17 kit. The WPS logo will be featured on the back of the left leg of the shorts for next season, a spot it has occupied over the last two years (Ospreys). 

TOTAL RALLY PARTNERSHIP: The FIA World Rallycross Championship signed multi-national energy company TOTAL as the World Championship's official lubricant partner. The new collaboration is a one-year regional partnership across the Nordics, U.K., Germany, France and Argentina. The deal is an extension of TOTAL's existing association with 2015 Teams' Championship winner Team Peugeot-Hansen. As part of the new partnership, TOTAL will receive access to exclusive race footage which will be used to create content showcasing TOTAL Lubricant performance in the Team Peugeot-Hansen Supercars (FIA).

FINA
 announced a partnership with U.S. Olympic and Paralympic training site SPIRE Institute for the 4th FINA World Aquatics Convention, taking place in Windsor, Canada, from Dec. 3-5 (FINA). 

The Philippine Basketball Association has "forged a three-year partnership with insurance firm, FWD Life Philippines" (MANILA TIMES, 6/14).

Second Bundesliga side Erzgebirge Aue "agreed to a new shirt sponsorship deal" with Wätas. The manufacturer of heating devices "signed a two-year deal until the end of the '17-18 season." Wätas "will pay an estimated mid-figure amount for the rights" (SPONSORs, 6/13).

German 3rd League club Chemnitzer FC and adidas have extended their partnership for another three years until the end of the '18-19 season. Adidas has been the club's official kit supplier since '13 (Chemnitzer FC).
