Scottish Premiership Club Aberdeen Extends Deal With Saltire Energy Through '18

Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen announced that Saltire Energy signed a contract extension to continue its club sponsorship for the next two years, until '18. Saltire's logo has appeared on the front of the Dons first team, U20 and youth academy kits for the past two seasons and this will continue for the next campaigns. In '08 Saltire established the "Saltire in the Community" program to support local initiatives to benefit young people. Through this, the company is involved with many sporting programs, including AFC Youth, The Paul Lawrie Foundation, Saltire Energy Sports for Schools, University of Aberdeen Sporting Scholarships and Curling for Schools.

GOING LOCAL: Aberdeen also announced a new partnership with local bakery Thain's. Through this partnership Thain's will supply the new Pittodrie Pie which was selected just last week by a panel of Dons supporters. Club catering partner Sodexo GM at Pittodrie Kenny Garden said, "One of the key pieces of information that came back from our survey earlier this year was that the supporters were keen to see local suppliers involved and this partnership certainly delivers that" (Aberdeen).
