GFK Study: Over Half Of Latin Americans Will Follow Olympics Via Mobile

Research carried out by GFK for Facebook revealed that the Rio 2016 Olympics "will be largely watched and commented on across mobile screens in Latin America," according to Juan Fernandez Gonzalez of RAPID TV NEWS. While 4,000 and even 8,000 broadcasts "are to be the industry’s main draw during the summer Olympics, 59% of Latin American users will opt for smaller mobile screens to keep up-to-date." According to the research, Rio 2016 "will be widely followed on mobile devices, for both live and on-demand content, and Facebook expects a large portion of this Latin American social conversation to be through its platform."
