Hero MotoCorp To Be Title Sponsor Of Hockey Champions Trophy

Indian motorcycle manufacturer Hero MotoCorp Ltd. "will be the title sponsor of the men's Hockey Champions Trophy 2016 which will be held in London" from Friday to June 17, according to the PTI. The Int'l Hockey Federation (FIH) confirmed that Hero MotoCorp Ltd. "will be the title sponsor of the prestigious" field hockey tournament. The event will be called the "Hero Hockey Champions Trophy 2016." In addition to title sponsorship of the event, Hero, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, "will also be a FIH lead partner of the women's Hockey Champions" Trophy taking place between June 18-26 in the same venue. This "is the latest agreement between Hero and FIH as part of the Hockey Revolution's major initiative aimed at securing commercial partners who share the 10-year strategy's vision" (PTI, 6/6).
