CORRUPTION WARNING: China’s top graft buster "followed up a series of inspections of elite sports training centres by reiterating its warning against corruption in the run-up to the Rio Olympics on Monday." The Beijing Sport University and the Olympic Training center "were among departments visited by inspectors attached to the sports ministry." While the units had made some improvements to their attitudes to moral codes and discipline, the Communist Party’s Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said that inspectors "found problems with their understanding of rules and a lack of timely efforts to address these issues" (SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST, 6/6).

Peter V'landys "will make hardship payments available to trainers affected by the floods around the state." Racing NSW "controls a Benevolent fund which can be accessed by racing participants in times of need." V'landys: "Obviously there might be trainers who have been affected by these conditions and floods that will need some help quickly and we have this fund for these situations. They just need to make contact with us and apply for help" (

The Automobile & Touring Club of the UAE and the Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation "signed a collaboration agreement for motorsport in the two countries." The agreement "outlines collaboration across many aspects of motorsport in UAE and Qatar, including coordination of the annual events calendar of both countries to enable maximum competitor participation in each other’s events, at both the national and international levels." Another point of cooperation "is in regards to the launch and inaugural season of the new UAE Formula 4 Championship, which will feature teams sponsored by both the Emirati and Qatari federations" (GULF TIMES, 6/5).
