Media Notes: Germany's Sport1 Partners With ESL To Show Dota 2 Event

German multimedia sports platform Sport1 and esports company ESL have agreed to a media partnership for major esports event ESL One Frankfurt 2016. On June 19, Sport1 will show the final of Europe's biggest Dota 2 event exclusively on free-TV from 8pm (Sport1). 

ESPN is debuting a set of digital products for India and the Indian subcontinent, including an ESPN.in website and an Indian version of the ESPN mobile app. The moves represent the 10th int'l edition of ESPN.com, and the first non-U.S., localized edition of the ESPN app. The new site and app are developed in collaboration between ESPN and Sony Pictures Networks Indian (SPN). ESPN’s Indian products "will focus heavily on cricket, but also will cover numerous other sports, including badminton, basketball, soccer and kabaddi" (SPORTSBUSINESS DAILY, 6/2).

World Rugby will broadcast the 2016 U20 Championship to 111 countries around the world. As the 12 teams get set for the tournament in Manchester, World Rugby confirmed that the event from June 7-25 will be screened to more than 151 million homes (World Rugby).
