Close To 14 Million Viewers Watch DFB-Pokal Final On German Broadcaster ARD

German public broadcaster ARD "recorded close to 14 million viewers for its broadcast of the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) final," according to Robert Meyer of QUOTENMETER. Saturday's final, which Bayern Munich won 4-3 on penalty kicks against Borussia Dortmund, drew 13.79 million viewers starting at 8:45pm. The figure translated into a market share of 49.2%. In the target demographic 14-49, Bayern's 18th German Cup title obtained a 49.3% market share as 4.63 million viewers tuned in. This year's final drew about 2 million more viewers than last season. However, the '14 matchup, which also featured Munich and Dortmund, attracted 14.27 million viewers (QUOTENMETER, 5/22).

COUPE DE FRANCE: LE PARISIEN reported the Coupe de France final between Paris St. Germain and Olympique de Marseille, which PSG won 4-2, was watched by 5.2 million viewers on France 2, translating to a market share of 25.3% (LE PARISIEN, 5/22).
