Franchise Notes: Championship Side Hull City Takeover Talks Begin

Talks "have begun about a possible takeover" of Championship side Hull City. The club has "been up for sale since 2014," after the FA turned down Owner Assem Allam's request to a change of name to Hull Tigers. An offer is now understood to have been made and talks held over the weekend have been described as "constructive" (BBC, 5/16).

Bundesliga side FC Schalke entered Europe’s eSports elite with the takeover of League of Legends team "Elements." League of Legends is a computer game with over 67 million active players each month and the regular broadcasting of its professional league system reaches an audience of millions every week (FC Schalke).
