The Boat Race Company Ltd. has appointed MICHELLE DITE as race director following ANN-LOUISE MORGAN’s "departure to join the Commonwealth Games Federation." Dite will take up the position on June 1 and "will oversee all aspects of The Cancer Research UK Boat Races including the organisation, sponsorship, broadcast and logistics throughout the season." As head of events at CSM Sport & Entertainment, Dite was "responsible for the event management and project delivery of the inaugural Invictus Games" (SPORT INDUSTRY, 5/9). ... The Rugby Football Union appointed SIMON MASSIE-TAYLOR as its CCO. Massie-Taylor is currently commercial director at the British Olympic Association and will join the RFU later in the summer. He will be responsible for all of the RFU's commercial operations and revenue-generating activities, including: sponsorship, commercial partnerships, broadcast deals, ticketing, stadium debenture sales and boxes, hospitality, licensing and retail. Reporting to RFU CEO IAN RITCHIE, Massie-Taylor will be a member of the senior leadership team and the RFU management board (England Rugby). ... Premier League side Norwich City CEO DAVID MCNALLY has resigned. The club said in a statement, "Director of Finance STEVE STONE has been appointed interim chief executive." Norwich is "on the brink of relegation, four points adrift of safety with two games left." The club "will be relegated" if Sunderland beats Everton on Wednesday (REUTERS, 5/9).
