Second Bundesliga Side VfL Bochum Sets New Attendance Record In '15-16

Second Bundesliga side VfL Bochum "set a new club attendance record during the '15-16 season," according to Gabriel Wagner of SPONSORs. An average of 18,010 spectators "attended the team's 16 home games at the rewirpowerSTADION, which has a capacity of around 30,000." As a result, the club "broke its previous second-division record of 17,189 spectators per game, which was set in '93-94." It is an increase of 4.8%. The club is also "still looking for a new stadium naming-rights partner." Utility company Stadtwerke Bochum "will end its deal with the club at the end of the season." The club said that it will "unveil a new partner in June" (SPONSORs, 5/8).
