NBA Signs Multiyear Partnership With Ford As League Automotive Partner In Africa

The NBA and Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa signed a multiyear partnership across the African continent. The partnership grants Ford exclusivity in the automotive category and is the first such partnership for the NBA in Africa. Ford will activate around NBA events, including the NBA Finals, Basketball without Borders Africa, and the inaugural Jr. NBA League in Johannesburg. The NBA and Ford will introduce the Jr. NBA program to new sub-Saharan African markets beginning in the '16-17 season. Ford was an official partner of NBA Africa Game 2015, the first NBA game on the continent. Ford also hosted the sold out NBA Fan Zone presented by Ford, which was held at the Piazza at Montecasino in Fourways on the same day as NBA Africa Game 2015. During the '15-16 season, the Jr. NBA will reach more than 6.5 million youth in 34 countries (NBA).
