Serie A Side Roma Officially Submits Stadium Plans To CONI For Review

Serie A side Roma "officially submitted the plans" for its new stadium to the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) for review, according to FOOTBALL ITALIA. The club is "intent on building a new ground in the city, but the project has been hit by delays." Roma announced, "This represents the beginning of the final submission process that will see the comprehensive dossier of the Stadio della Roma project presented to Regione Lazio." David Ginsberg, a representative for the project, said, "CONI has always been an honorable and important partner for AS Roma and we look to continue this long-lasting partnership for many years to come. We also want to confirm our support to CONI for the Rome 2024 Olympic Games candidacy and we hope that Stadio della Roma will play a key role for this important event" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 4/29).
