Franchise Notes: Leicester City Freezes Season Ticket Prices For Next Season

Premier League leader Leicester City decided to "freeze season ticket prices for next season despite the huge swell of interest" after its incredible season. Leicester City is "top of the table with just four matches remaining." But "rather than cash in on the success and huge interest that now surrounds the club," Thai Owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha has decided to "freeze season ticket prices for a second consecutive year." Fans of the club "will be able to buy a season ticket for as cheap" as £365 ($527) -- only three clubs (Aston Villa, Manchester City and Stoke City) offered cheaper seasons tickets in '15-16; in comparison Chelsea charges £750 ($1,082) and Arsenal £1,014 ($1,463) for its cheapest season ticket (London INDEPENDENT, 4/22).

Jose Mourinho has reportedly signed a contract with ManU to become its "next manager with an announcement expected before the end of the season." The Express claimed that Mourinho "penned a contract at Old Trafford at the end of last week." The newspaper also claimed that "an announcement could be made in the next two weeks." It claimed that Mourinho "will have full control over the club's transfer policy" (INDEPENDENT, 4/24).
