Super Rugby Side Sharks Talking With Durban To Play At Moses Mabhida Stadium

Super Rugby side Sharks is in talks with Durban, South Africa "over the possibility of playing home matches at the Moses Mabhida Stadium," according to OMNISPORT. The club currently plays home matches at the adjacent Kings Park Stadium, but "discussions are underway over a move to the Moses Mabhida Stadium" as early as '17. The venue was used for the 2010 World Cup, and "has a capacity of 56,000 that can be scaled up to 85,000 for major events." Sharks CEO John Smit said, "We are excited about the prospects at Moses Mabhida Stadium, but have made it clear that any move would have to be in the best interests of the Sharks and its supporters" (OMNISPORT, 4/22).
