German Cup Match Draws More Than 9 Million Viewers On Public Broadcaster ARD

German public broadcaster ARD recorded more than 9 million viewers for its broadcast of the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) match between Hertha Berlin and Borussia Dortmund, according to Manuel Weis of QUOTENMETER. Dortmund's 3-0 victory on Wednesday drew 9.09 million viewers. The number translated into a market share of 29.6% starting at 8:30pm. In the target demographic 14-49, the game broadcast had a 26.4% share. In comparison, the Cup game between Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen attracted a viewership figure of 8.9 million on Tuesday (QUOTENMETER, 4/21).
