Tuesday's Meeting Of Argentine FA's Exec Committee Draws Just 23 Of 45 Members

A meeting of the Argentine FA's exec committee on Tuesday only was attended by 23 of the 45 club representatives, according to Andres Morando of OLÉ. Clubs like River Plate, Boca Juniors, San Lorenzo and Racing were absent. Of the AFA's biggest clubs, only Independiente was present. The meeting "was nearly suspended, as the minimum number of representatives to hold a meeting was barely met." The number of absences "was not a coincidence; it showed the disagreement on the part of many club execs with AFA President Luis Segura's leadership" (OLÉ, 4/19).
